Urge MP candidates to Crackdown on Cruelty

The upcoming General Election provides us with the chance to make the country a safer and kinder place for animals.

The countdown is on as we approach election day on 4 July, and we need you to email your Parliamentary Candidates and urge them to support the Crackdown on Cruelty Pledges.

The pledges cover ten major animal welfare issues that if addressed would make a huge difference to the lives of animals across the UK, and around the world.

Issues like banning the import of hunting trophies, banning the sale and import of fur and foie gras, and the need to adopt core animal welfare standards in trade policy, are just some of the changes we want to see. We also want to see an end to the use of cages and crates for farmed animals, support for a transition away from factory farming towards more sustainable food and farming systems, and laws to tackle the illegal puppy trade.

Please email your Parliamentary Candidates today and urge them to commit to improving animal welfare, if elected.

Together we can Crackdown on Cruelty.
