Rapid Response Syria: Home at Last After 4 weeks of tireless preparation and work, we’re thrilled to tell you that the animals rescued from the ‘Magic World’ zoo near Aleppo, Syria have finally reached their new home in Jordan. Over the weekend, we released the 13 animals into their new rehabilitation enclosures at Al Ma'wa for Nature and Wildlife – a FOUR PAWS project in partnership with the Princess Alia Foundation. The animals will now need time to settle down. Wild animals that have lived in small cages for their entire lives require an adaption period, to avoid overwhelming them. But as soon as they adjust to their bigger enclosures, they will be released into their larger species-appropriate homes. Watch some videos of the rescued animals below: We look forward to sharing more updates on the rescued animals over the coming weeks, months and years!
