Feathers are cruelly plucked out of live ducks and geese around the world. Time and time again.

In an effort to collect a maximum amount of feathers and down, workers live pluck animals which produce the most expensive and high quality down. When injuries occur, as they often do, the wounds are stitched up without anaesthetics.

Live plucking is generally practiced in China and Hungary, but it also occurs in Poland, Germany, Russia and Ukraine. And while it’s banned in the EU, live plucking still continues, disguised as 'moult plucking' or gathering.
