Strays endure a lifetime of misery
The life of a stray dog is hard. Unprotected from extrene weather conditions like heat and deliberate cruelty - every day is a fight to survive. Struggling to find food, water and a safe place to rest.
The situation is out of control in Moldova, and Summer makes it more challenging
In Moldova, the stray dog population has reached an alarming level, with more than 20,000 stray dogs roaming the capital of Chisinau and its surrounding areas. Unfortunately, Kasper’s brutal maltreatment is not a one-off instance. Acts of unspeakable cruelty have become a daily occurrence in some communities. Many innocent dogs are subjected to shootings, poisonings, and even the horrific practice of skinning for their fur.
Without our help, stray animals may not survive
FOUR PAWS Stray Animal Care teams (SAC) work tirelessly across Eastern Europe to help stray dogs in desperate need. Without us, many will die.
Our long-term aim is to introduce a systematic and humane dog population management programme. This is the only way to avoid further dogs being born into a life full of suffering on Moldova’s streets.
This summer, will you be the lifeline that stray dogs deserve?
Thanks to supporters like you, Kasper’s resuscitation was the beginning of a journey – and of a new life of love and safety.
On behalf of the animals, the FOUR PAWS team would like to say thank you!
