Strays endure a lifetime of misery
The life of a stray dog is hard. Unprotected from the elements and deliberate cruelty - every day is a fight to survive. Struggling to find food, water and a safe place to rest.
The situation is out of control in Moldova
In Moldova, the stray dog population has reached an alarming level, with more than 20,000 stray dogs roaming the capital of Chisinau and its surrounding areas.
Acts of unspeakable cruelty have become a daily occurrence in some communities. Many innocent dogs are subjected to shootings, poisonings, and even the horrific practice of skinning for their fur.
Without our help, they may not survive the winter
FOUR PAWS Stray Animal Care teams (SAC) work tirelessly across Eastern Europe to help stray dogs in desperate need. In this cold weather, without us, many will die.
Our long-term aim is to introduce a systematic and humane dog population management programme. This is the only way to avoid further dogs being born into a life full of suffering on Moldova’s streets.
Will you be the lifeline that stray dogs deserve?
Last year, with your support, FOUR PAWS was able to carry out over 30,000 sterilisations for stray dogs and cats.
On behalf of the animals, the FOUR PAWS team would like to thank you!
