Help animals in need
The private keeping and commercial trafficking of wild animals in Albania is on the rise.

We discovered bear Flora completely by accident while conducting a welfare check for lion Erion - an alarming case of a privately kept lion whose videos had circulated on social media.
In the same cramped conditions as Erion, Flora paces in a small, barren enclosure of solitary confinement. While it’s unclear how either of them ended up in private keeping, one thing is certain: they both urgently need to be relocated to a permanent, safe home.
With your help, our team can rescue both wild animals and bring them to species-appropriate sanctuaries. Will you give these animals a chance to experience a better life?
- £10 could feed a rescued animal for a day.
- £25 could help to medically treat a rescued animal.
- £35 could help prepare for a future rescue mission.
- A generous gift of £100 could help fund the ongoing care and species-appropriate home for an animal living in our sanctuary.

Ending inappropriate keeping
To date, we have rescued more than 220 bears and 280 big cats. In our sanctuaries, they have known safety, love, and species-appropriate conditions for the rest of their lives.
We are fighting to eradicate the inappropriate keeping of wild animals - calling for a rigorous change of legislation explicitly banning the private keeping, breeding, and commercial trade of wild animals. Your gift enables us to continue to fight the good fight. On behalf of the animals, the FOUR PAWS team would like to thank you!
