🔔 Update: Since our arrival, our expert team of FOUR PAWS veterinarians, in collaboration with vets from the Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research, treated 32 lions, 30 tigers, and 2 bears at the former Zoo Luján in Argentina.

More than 60 animals urgently need your help.

In Argentina, two brown bears and over 60 big cats - including 32 lions and 29 tigers - are living in severely inadequate conditions in a former zoo. Confined to cramped enclosures and deprived of proper care, each animal endures unimaginable physical and psychological distress. Their daily suffering is truly heartbreaking.

Emergency medical care can’t wait.

An initial assessment has revealed that the animals are in critical need of proper care. We have serious concerns about their safety, health and well-being. 

After providing the emergency medical care these animals urgently need, we must find species-appropriate solutions to protect them in the long term.
