Abandoned animals desperately need help!
Will you be there for animals that the world has left behind?
A landfill on the outskirts of Podujeva, Kosovo. Mountains of rubbish as far as the eye can see.
This is home for over a hundred of dogs: some dumped here, others born into it, never knowing kindness or care.
FOUR PAWS is working to ensure these animals are no longer overlooked.
Can forgotten animals count on your compassion?
Since 2023, FOUR PAWS has been actively working in Kosovo, collaborating with national and local authorities, building strong partnerships with local NGOs, and carrying out CNVR (Catch, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) work on the ground. These efforts are already delivering positive results, demonstrating that humane and effective dog population management is possible.
The work in Podujeva is a vital part of this long-term approach. Street dog surveys conducted between June 2024 and May 2025 estimated that 2,995 dogs are living on the streets there. By providing relief to the dogs at the landfill, alongside our ongoing street work, we aim to stabilise the local dog population, reduce suffering, and create lasting change.
In the past, thanks to the compassion of people like you, we were able to be a lifeline to animals when they needed us the most and show them the kindness they deserve.
Thank you for standing with us for animals and for your generous gifts, it means the world for animals like these.
