Giving animals a second chance in life

The FOUR PAWS sanctuaries offer a safe haven for rescued animals. 

They provide species-appropriate homes for wild animals that have been mistreated, neglected or abandoned in the past and forced to live in poor conditions in private captivity, circuses and zoos. 

After being rescued, many of our animals go through a mental and physical transformation, as they recover from being deprived of their natural needs and instincts for many years.

The FOUR PAWS sanctuaries

FOUR PAWS runs 11 sanctuaries and partner projects for rescued animals in Europe, Jordan, Vietnam and South Africa. Thanks to our supporters, by the end of 2023, FOUR PAWS was taking care and providing a species-appropriate home for 108 big cats, 85 brown bears and 46 Asiatic black bears.
