Rescue suffering animals like Madhubala
Can neglected animals count on your compassion today?
The FOUR PAWS team has returned to Pakistan to continue its efforts on an urgent mission: to free elephant Madhubala from solitary keeping.
She is the last solitary African elephant in captivity
After the death of her beloved partner Noor Jehan in 2023, Madhubala was left alone in her enclosure at Karachi Zoo – which is unfortunately well known for its poor keeping conditions. Madhubala is struggling in solitary confinement, and her mental health is quickly deteriorating.
Her relocation is imperative
We urgently want to bring Madhubala to a species-appropriate home before it’s too late.
In her new life, Madhubala will be able to roam in a larger green area at Safari Park and will be reunited with her sisters, elephants Sonia and Malika, from whom she was separated 14 years ago.
It’s your donation that helps us be there for animals when they need us most. Could you donate today to rescue animals in desperate need?
A monthly gift of £10 could help finance the post-relocation care of rescued animals. If you are not able to give a monthly donation, please support our work with a one-off gift. Every little helps to ease the pressure on critical situations like this one.
