Usually kept in terrible conditions, bears still suffer across the world.

For decades, bears like baby bear 'X' have been brutally snatched from their mothers at a young age. Used as attractions for restaurants, forced to perform for circuses, and even used as baiting objects to train hunting dogs, hundreds of bears are exploited and tortured with the sole purpose of making money.

Ending inappropriate keeping

To this day, we have rescued more than 200 bears. In our sanctuaries, they are safe, loved and cared for, experiencing species-appropriate conditions for the rest of their lives.

Focused on eradicating the inappropriate keeping of brown bears in Europe for good, we've succeeded in putting an end to the keeping of dancing bears in Bulgaria and Serbia, the illegal keeping of restaurant bears in Kosovo, and the illegal keeping of bears in Poland.
